About
Kilgannon Law was founded on the belief that clients deserve a lawyer who is both skilled and accessible. The firm combines litigation experience with practical insight to deliver solutions that make sense in the real world—not just on paper.
Our Approach
We approach legal challenges with a focus on efficiency, strategic planning, and practical outcomes. Our goal is always to resolve matters in a way that saves time, minimizes risk, and advances our clients’ interests.

Timothy Kilgannon, Esq.
Timothy Kilgannon represents individuals, families, and businesses in a wide range of legal matters. His practice is shaped by broad, hands-on experience across litigation, transactions, and advisory work, allowing him to recognize issues early, anticipate downstream consequences, and guide clients toward solutions that account for both legal risk and practical realities.
This breadth of experience enables Mr. Kilgannon to approach each matter with perspective that extends beyond a single practice area. Clients benefit from advice informed by how disputes arise, how contracts are enforced, how courts and agencies evaluate conduct, and how legal decisions impact people and businesses over time—insight that is often unavailable from more narrowly focused practitioners.
Mr. Kilgannon is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey State and local courts, as well as in New York federal courts. In addition, he brings with him the experience of representing clients before the New York State Court of Claims, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the New York City Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH), the New York State Education Department – Office of the Professions, and the Beth (Bais) Din Rabbinical Court in Borough Park, giving him firsthand experience navigating both traditional courts and specialized forums.
As a solo practitioner, Mr. Kilgannon provides individuals and businesses with direct access, continuity, and responsiveness that larger firms often cannot match. He remains personally involved in every matter and prioritizes clear, transparent communication from the initial consultation through resolution. Whether assisting an individual with a personal legal issue, advising a family or fiduciary, negotiating and drafting agreements, or advocating in court, he works collaboratively with clients to develop practical, results-focused strategies.
In addition to matter-specific representation, Mr. Kilgannon offers outside general counsel and legal concierge services to individuals, investors, landlords, and growing businesses seeking ongoing legal guidance and a trusted legal partner.
Mr. Kilgannon serves as an adjunct professor at Nassau Community College and is an active member and frequent panelist with the CARES Foundation. He earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of Hartford.
